I'm leaving for Munich now. I'll be back on Monday, hopefully with some nice photos and adventures to tell you about.
Thanks a lot for your nice comments during the last days.

Have a very lovely weekend!!

(The photo is one of my favourites from our New York trip.)

dia:Beacon

The heat is back. And I don't like it.

I'm done with it for this year I think. Basta. I want autumn and tea and a pair of corduroy shorts.

Here in Barcelona I never know what to drink in bars during summer when it's hot: the fruit juices are bad and too sweet, I don't like coke, I don't like coffee and you can't always drink beer. They never have iced tea.

So today, I'm making my iced tea at home and look at my photos from the trip we took to the dia:Beacon museum while we were in New York.
It might be the greatest museum I've ever been to. The rooms are so huge and white and full of light, they put you in a strange state of total calm. You just walk and absorb everything. Every piece of art has so much space. And outside there's only green. In the middle of every room are big soft sofas you can just sink into. Everything about it is perfect.
I'm a bit ecstatic about it as you can see, but I think it's worth a trip from any corner of the world, even if you don't go to New York. And I hate flying. And I loved New York so so much. But seriously, it is that good.
You'll have to believe me or go there by yourselves, as it was not allowed to take photos inside. Buh.

Enjoy your Saturday!

our place...

...during our New York holiday. We were really really lucky to stay there. A beautiful place with sweet people.
I want that kitchen sink so bad!
And I should have taken more photos.

blueberries etc.

There are only a few New York photos left, and I have new ones waiting, from other moments and places.

The first shots are from the place we were staying in Brooklyn.
The last two are from the Union Square Farmers' Market. The produce there was so beautiful!
And we drank amazing rhubarb apple juice. I am a little obsessed with rhubarb because I love it so much and it doesn't grow here in Spain.

More travel photos on another quiet day. Tonight we made pizza.
I hope your week starts well!

sleepy saturday

Last night it finally rained. We woke up to a sleepy and clean city, empty streets and some fresh air.
I put a jacket on, for the first time in months, and we took a walk to our favourite bakery near the beach. Then we bought some sardines at the market, and had a long breakfast with pain au chocolat and litres of tea at home. For lunch there were baked sardines. Perfect.
I hope you are enjoying your Saturday, too.

The photos are from New york and completely unrelated.

hell, yes!

More New York photos!
The first two are from a walk to the New Museum. I liked the building and the two exhibitions we saw there (Brion Gysin and Rivane Neuenschwander) a lot.
The other two photos are from MoMA. Of course I loved it but it was way too cold in there! People seemed to know that though because everybody but me wore a sweater.

Have a lovely Friday evening!!
